1. Elf
Elf is a classic Christmas movie and (shouldn’t need much of an explanation, but) is about a toddler who is accidently sent to the North Pole and raised by Santa’s elves. This toddler, Buddy, played by Will Ferrell, grows up and realizes that he does not fit in, and travels to New York in search of his real father. He finds his father, Walter, played by James Caan, and eventually they set out on a chaotic adventure to learn about each other. (Image- Elf. IMBD.com 12 November 2024)
2. Home Alone
Home Alone is a classic Christmas comedy movie that is a must-watch every year. After eight year old Kevin McCallister, played by Macaulay Culkin, is accidently left home alone when his family goes on Christmas vacation without him, he assumes that his wish to have no family has come true. When he discovers that two thieves, Marv and Harry, played by Daniel Stern and Joe Pesci, are trying to rob his home, Kevin must do what it takes to protect his home. (Image- Home Alone. 3. How The Grinch Stole Christmas
If you haven’t seen How the Grinch Stole Christmas, what are you doing in life? This heartwarming Christmas movie is about a cranky creature, the Grinch, played by Jim Carrey, who despises Christmas and attempts to steal it from the town of Whoville. On Christmas Eve he sets out to steal all of their decorations and gifts when a girl name Cindy Lou Who helps him realize that Christmas isn’t all about the gifts and money. 4. The Santa Clause
The Santa Clause movie is yet another Christmas classic you must watch this winter holiday. When divorced dad Scott, played by Tim Allen, has his son Charlie, played by Eric Lloyd, on Christmas Eve, he accidently kills a man in a Santa suit on their roof. After Scott puts on this suit, he and his son are transported to the North pole where he discovers that he is to be the new Santa Claus. He originally thinks he is dreaming, but as months go by and Christmas Eve gets closer, he starts to look the part and wonders if he wasn’t dreaming after all. (Image- The Santa Clause.
