This course was developed to help transform course material to be more effective and affordable. Through the OER Adopt course, you’ll develop an online community where you can receive help with technical, logistical, copyright/licensing, or pedagogical issues that arise as you find and create course materials. We envision that this site will provide you with a resource base to draw on while you’re creating or adapting your course materials to use Open Educational Resources and/or library licensed resources.
Interested in OER?
The OER Summer Sprint helps IU Bloomington instructors replace traditional textbooks with low- or no-cost materials. Fellows earn a $1000 stipend, attend two May workshops, work with campus experts, and submit a final OER or affordable course materials project. Applications are due April 3, 2026.
